I’m an avid reader, librarian with a MLIS degree, former information industry professional at ProQuest.com, where I managed and developed information databases for libraries around the world, a startup entrepreneur with a U.S. patent, a former national board member of the Women’s National Book Association, and former chair of Great Groups Reads, a program of the National Reading Group Month of that association.
I am active in P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic educational organization that provides scholarships, grants, and loans to women beyond secondary school. My local chapter is in Las Vegas, and I help on the state tech committee.
I’ve been an instructor with Osher Lifetime Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Nevada Las Vegas since 2020. I teach technology.
Family and friends call me Bebe; work colleagues know me as Sarah; I answer to both. I was born and raised in the deep south, lived many places since then. I have lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2016.
