Plague pause

For reasons I’ve yet to deeply explore, I’ve hit a pause on book reviews. I still read, perhaps even more in the pandemic year.

I noted my reading in 2019, using Goodreads to tally up completed books – 130 that year.  Of course, I don’t count the many books I started but did not finish.  I consider life too short to wade through books that don’t hit it for me after 100 pages or so. I have no idea if my reading really increased or not in 2020.

I’ve also gone quite quiet on social media.  I got really burned out with the 2020 pandemic and election politics.

So here it is, well into 2021, and my habit of recording my reading and writing reviews is still in hiatus. It will take some effort to get back, if at all.

I’m very grateful that I and my family have been spared in the pandemic. Many of my family have gotten the vaccine, as have I.  So, let’s see if 2021 will bring back my desire for this site.
